I'm a white boy married to a Domincan woman for the last 20 years and this food has been the closest thing to what my mother in law makes. The portions are big and food tastes great. Hands down will recommend. No need to speak Spanish. I don't and they take pitty on me and make sure I get what my wife wants. 5's &

I know I'm white but I don't discriminate & neither do the workers at Vilamar Caribbean Restaurant!!!. I go down there twice a week to visit my uncle & always stop in & the food is so great & ful of flavor...I do think even if you dont speak Spanish don't be afraid to go in & try the potato balls (mashed potatoes stuffed with seasoned chicken or ground beef & then fried to perfection) MY RECOMMENDATION BUT SAVE SOME FOR ME please!!!

Get ready for a trip to another place, far above the ordinary. This restaurant primarily serves Dominican food for takeout, and it's a flavor explosion. The food is not spicy at all. There are small tables if you can't wait to get home with your food. We spent 25 for two plus drink but after eating to excess there's plenty of food left to make another meal. My middle-schooler makes mmm mmm mmm sounds while eating. The rice with peas sends her to Nirvana. The fried chicken is crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The fried Yuca are done to perfection. The pasteles are moist, filled with chicken. The rice with beans are good but the rice and peas are our preference. If they offer a casserole made with lean ground beef, yellow plantains, and topped with cheese, don't leave without getting a big square. If you don't know what something is, just ask the server or one of the other patrons. There are chilled foods behind the counter, so take a look. If you're like me and have never been to the Caribbean, don't speak fluent Spanish, but love good food have no fears, take a leap of faith. I've enjoyed everything I've ever ordered from Villamar and I recommend this restaurant unreservedly.

I love coming to villamar. Everything is laid out so you can see, which makes it easier for ordering if you're not familiar with all the names of the food. I've gone here several times and never have been disappointed with their food quality. Always hot, always fresh and delicious. Their food tastes very authentic which I appreciate. Prices are great also.

Amazing food. Sub par customer service. Went last week and everyone ignored me while walking around looking dazed. There was 2 people ahead of me but they weren't still being helped. There food is phenomenal last time I was there a couple years ago. Customer service sucks.
